Palm Data 1.3

Palm Data Publisher's Description

Please note: If you have a Palm OS 5 device, such as Tungsten, Treo 600, Zire or the Kyocera 7135 (which is Palm OS 4, but can't emulate 8bpp), please purchase this version instead.

Palm Data is a small, fast, generic database program that runs on almost all Palm devices (see the list of compatible devices below). Using Palm Data you can view, search, edit, create, delete any data on your Palm device. (to see detailed installation and usage instructions, including screen shots, click here) Palm Data comes with 2 databases included - an area code database and a country code database. Palm Data always knows which databases are compatible and only allows you to open those that are compatible. Password protection and encryption are supported. The data is presented in a table format with 10 rows of data per page. There are navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen that allow you to go to the first page, previous page, next page, and last page. If the data in a row is too wide for the screen tap the ">>>" button to scroll right or the "<<<" button to scroll left. Tap on any row of data to bring that row up in a screen which allows you to edit the data. The edit screen can also be used to search, add or delete rows in the database. Using Palm Data Desktop, you can create/import your own databases on your pc, which can then be installed on the Palm and later used by Palm Data. Palm Data Desktop allows you to create a database from "Scratch" by just adding rows and specifying column names. It also allows you to import data from CSV files (Saved as csv from Excel or other spreadsheet program) and previously created Palm Data databases. Once the data is in Palm Data Desktop, you can export to Palm Database or to CSV (to be viewed in spreadsheet). Palm Data also supports encryption and password protection to secure your sensitive data.
